I started the day with a hearty breakfast and a beautiful morning. I left Hastings,NE around 11:30. Stopped in Minden, Ne for a quick bite and stretch. The whole day was gorgeous and uplifting.
The sun was shining and the shoulder smooth, under my size 29 tires. If this bike makes it Portland with no major problems Trek will have a customer for life.

I finished the day out in Holdrege, Ne where a friend picked me up and we drove 6 miles to Loomis Ne. Tasha amd Gabe are letting crash at their house tonight. I got a home cooked meal and a nice place to sleep. Here is a big thank you to those two.

Tomorrow I set off bright and early to head to McCook.
