Day 7: The last of the plains

Day 7 turned out to be a great day. The weather, the ride, and the people I met.

Fort Morgan to Greeley isn’t a huge day for a ride. I took it kind of easy today. I figured one day out of seven couldn’t hurt.

During the ride today a man passed me on the highway with a truck, the bed covered with bungeed down tarps.  About 15 min. later I passed some moving blankets in the highway. I also noticed that truck on top of the big hill and that man was resituating the load in the truck. I checked my mirror and flipped around to pick the blankets up.  Two big blankets under my left arm I climbed the hill one handed and asked the man if they were his. His words were something along the lines of ” Holy shit man, that is awesome. Thank you so much.”

Even though it’s only been 7 days, this trip is slowly changing me into new even better person. The people that have helped me along the way proves that there is still an enormous amount of good left in America.

Thank you Broken Plow Brewery for the wonderful apricot wheat beers.

Here is a short clip of today’s ride as well

My bike likes to cuddle….a little
